PROFESSIONAL
As seen above, and previously mentioned, Stan Breckenridge is the 2019 Recipient of Poland’s Amicus Poloniae Award (“Friend of Poland”). Most recently he and others such as Renee Fleming, Philip Glass, Maya Angelou, John Lithgow, Aaron Copeland, John Steinbeck, are identified as 23 prominent “Fulbright alumni making a lasting impact through visual and performing arts, literature, music, and more” (see article). Dr. Breckenridge was selected as a United States Distinguished Chair Fulbright Scholar to Poland for the 2012–2013 and 2013-2014, where he taught at the University of Marie Curie Skłodowska in Lublin, and Jagiellonian University in Kraków, respectively. Seen above, On June 24, 2023, the “Diplomacy Day” was organized at the Służewiec Racecourse under the patronage of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau…”Diplomacy Day at the Służewiec Horse Racing Track was the first opportunity in the history of Polish horse racing for representatives of the diplomatic corps and representatives of Polish authorities, cultural institutions and think tanks to meet in such large numbers in a unique place and in the wonderful atmosphere of royal sport. The event opened with a jazz concert by Stan Breckenridge, an American solo and jazz pianist, musicologist, winner of the Amicus Poloniae award granted by the Polish Ambassador to the USA for his contribution to the development of Polish-American relations” (see article).

The professionalism of Stan Breckenridge brings together politics, culture, and music that helps to enrich and create mutual understanding of our similarities and differences as he is often a feature performer at diplomatic events. Two of which include the Polish-American Military Picnic titled “Always close by, Safe together”, organized on the occasion of the visit of U.S. President Donald Trump; and U.S. Independence Day celebrations in Kraków hosted by, on different occasions, U.S. Ambassador’s to the Polish Republic the Honorables Paul W. Jones, Stephen D. Mull, and Lee A. Feinstein; and a celebratory occasion for my selection as the 2019 Recipient of Poland’s Amicus Poloniae Award hosted by the Honorable U.S. Ambassador Georgette Mosbacher to the Polish Republic, and bestowed on me by the Honorable Polish Republic Ambassador to the U.S. Piotr Wilcek.

Below are some noteworthy performances outside of the U.S.

Stan Breckenridge has performed in various cities throughout his career. The Christmas concert poster above, which occurred on December 27, 2023, marks his fourth performance in Hungary, but this time in the beautiful city of Szeged.

On December 17, 2023, as seen above, the Stan Breckenridge Band gave a wonderful Christmas concert for the city of Targówek, Poland.

As seen above, a noteworthy performance on December 9th and 10th of 2023 included Stan Breckenridge singing on the balcony of the Prestigious Hotel Bristol in Warsaw, Poland. (By zooming in you can see him standing on the balcony singing.)
Above is a recap of performances by Stan Breckenridge at the #USAPavilion during USA Expo 2020 in Dubai (which actually occurred from October 2021 through March 2022 due to COVID-19 in 2020).

As seen in the poster above, in 2019 Stan Breckenridge was on a performance tour delighting audiences in eight cities throughout Morocco. The tour was sponsored by the American Language Center there, in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy to Morocco. In addition to performances worldwide, some appearances in the United States include The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, The Greek Theater, The Los Angeles Forum, The Los Angeles Sports Arena, The Hollywood Bowl, The Watts Summer Festival, Capitol Records, and on various national TV programs.

COMPOSER

In 2022 Stan Breckenridge recorded and released an all-original album titled Revival. The song “She’s So Fine” premiered on Dzień Dobry TVN, Poland May 28, 2023 (watch video and read article).
Seen above, a new single titled “What’s Going On-Co Się Dzieje” was released in May 2022, and premiered on Dzień Dobry TVN, Poland that same month (watch video and read article).

With regard to the above single recording, in 2020, with the gracious patronage of the University of Adam Mickiewicz, Poznań, Stan Breckenridge composed and recorded a piece titled “A New Beginning”, that commemorated the Inaugural celebration of the Schools of Language and Literature Sciences at the University of Adam Mickiewicz, Poznań. In the above video, Stan Breckenridge co-authored as well as composed the background music to th newly released book titled OnAfrican American Music Overview.

As seen above, in 2020 Stan Breckenridge composed and released seven singles that reflect the year of COVID-19. These include “Nostalgia,” “The Battle: Race Against Time,” “It Changed My Life,” “A Night in Vienna,” “Waterfall No.2,” “Eternal Hope,” and “Ready to Play.” (click to listen)

Stan Breckenridge composed the score for the above video titled Titled Building the Dream. which documents the building of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, DC. The documentary was produced and directed by William Byers of Explorer Studios, Inc. The executive producer is Bobby McDonald, President of the Orange County Black Chamber of Commerce.
