Solidarity medal is given to those who promote the City of Radom and its culture, history and traditions in international fields. Stan Breckenridge was awarded for his outstanding performances and cooperation with the young talented vocalist and violinist – Klaudia Kowalik outside Radom and for conducting inspiring workshops (on jazz/gospel, etc) and lectures on American music and American education. On October 19, 2013 Stan Breckenridge, as a U.S. Distinguished Chair Fulbright Scholar in Poland gave a concert and a talk-demonstration, using Powerpoint, on various inspirations of jazz music, such as spirituals, blues, Harlem stride, vocal jazz, gospel, and soul music, at Legendzie in Radom. Karolina Adamczyk, Director of American Corner in Radom, provided Polish translations. The event was organized by the Łaznia Cultural Center and Gallery in Radom.
